WPF a flop out of the box

I installed the RTM of Dot NET 3.0 yesterday and got to playing with some Xaml samples today.  Sadly it does not work on my work computer nor a colleague of mine.  This is not a good sign for the new additions to the dot net framework.  I am a developer and i have a pretty high tolerance for using cool new technology and the pain required to get it to work right.  But this experience tells me I can't trust the framework to be production ready.  So far at home i see WPF coolness and at work we just see Ie open and the system go crazy(not sure how to describe it actually).  Sucks i so looked forward to using WPF and WCF.
